Downtown Unplugged Discontinued

Downtown Sarasota Florida offered visitors, residents and local business free wireless Internet access. While the system isn't designed to replace current commercial internet access services, the WiFi service in Downtown Sarasota was available for use by anyone.

The wireless system allowed users with wireless-capable laptop computers to access the Internet at no charge in the area of Lemon and Main St. Other WiFi is available at Sarasota County public buildings and at Selby Library.

The previous city wide system has been discontinued and is no longer supported by Sarasota County.
